How our quizzes are created
Cent Surveys is published by After Click LLC. This page explains how a quiz here is put together, how your result is worked out, and, just as important, what a result does not mean.
What the quizzes are for
Every quiz on this site is written for self-reflection and entertainment. A good one gives you a useful way to look at something you already half-knew about how you handle money, work, relationships or your own time. None of them is a test in the clinical or professional sense, and none is a substitute for advice from someone qualified who knows your situation.
How a quiz is written
Each quiz starts from a small set of results, usually three or four, that describe recognisably different ways people approach the topic. The questions are then written so that each answer option leans toward one of those results.
Where we can, questions ask about behaviour rather than self-image: what you did the last time something happened, not what kind of person you believe you are. People are generally more accurate about the first than the second.
Some quizzes follow a framework that exists in published research, such as the five-factor model of personality. Where that is the case, the quiz page says which framework and how closely the quiz follows it. Where a quiz is our own construction, the result categories are ours and are not drawn from a formal model.
How your result is worked out
Scoring is simple and the same on every quiz. Each answer you give counts toward the result it was written to lean toward. Your result is the one your answers pointed to most often.
Questions you skip are not counted toward any result. On the results page you also see your answer profile: the share of your answers that pointed to each result. If two results are close, you sit between them, which is common and not an error.
There is no hidden weighting, and advertising plays no part in which result you receive.
What we do not claim
- No quiz here is clinically validated. None has been tested against diagnostic criteria or normed against a population.
- The quizzes are not reviewed by licensed medical, psychological or financial professionals.
- A result describes a pattern in the answers you gave on one occasion. It is not a diagnosis, a prediction or a recommendation.

How the site is paid for
The quizzes are free and no email address is required to take one or to see a result. Advertising pays for the site. Your answers are recorded without your name so that a result can be shown and so that we can see how quizzes are used; the privacy policy sets out what is collected.
